History of Cycling
Cycling history dates back to the late nineteenth century, origins from England in an attempt to perfect this mode of transportation. With advances that aims to achieve higher speeds with bicycles, becoming lighter and less expensive.
Despite its origin, from the beginning, the main cycling events were appearing in France to take advantage of the challenge mountainous terrain.
Types of Cycling
Over the years, changing in characteristics of the bicycles to adapt with different activities has allowed more and more variants of cycling to appear.

Road Cycling is the oldest and the most popular form of cycling which are carried out on the road using light and aerodynamic bicycles so that cyclists can achieve higher speeds and greater distances. One of its highlights every year is the Tour de France, which is considered the most important evenrt in the World Circuit.
Mountain Bike is the most recent type with many small variants which require different techniques and capabilities as well as changes in characteristics of bicycles. This variant of cycling is not only has a characteristic not to be an exclusive proof of road as it normally practiced in all type of terrains, like pine trees, streets with stairs and sidewalks, but it also requires characteristic in the great majority of the types to be made up or down.
Track Cycling is the least known of the three type which is done in a circular lane which has several variants but the main objective is to complete the route in the shortest possible time.
