USA Representative attorney said Britney Spears singer is not psychologically stable, not alert enough to sign papers related to her.
According to Hollywood Life, Mr. Jamie Spears – father of Britney Spears – suggested the singer directly to court. Sam Ingham – Britney Spears’ lawyer – replied: “I am the only source of information Britney Spears wants to make public.”
When the judge asked if the singer could self-sign a statement expressing her thoughts on guardianship, Ingham declined. He says his client currently lacks the alertness to fulfill that request, comparing her to comatose patients.
According to ET, Mr. Jamie provided the court with the financial records of his daughter, especially the money he used while holding custody. Attorney Sam Ingham said that it takes time to carefully review these papers and will discuss them in the next hearing on November 10.
Mr. Jamie also canceled his request to invite lawyer Andrew M. Wallet to continue to hold custody of his daughter. This person was with Jamie in custody of Britney Spears from 2008 to March 2019. Britney Spears said it is not financially eligible to pay Mr. Wallet. She has stopped performing since the end of 2018, so she doesn’t make as much money as before. At the same time, Britney Spears believes that Mr. Wallet is not suitable as a guardian.
Over the past time, Briney Spears requested to cancel custody – given to Mr. Jamie in 2008 by a California court – but with no success. She then applied to change guardians, not wanting her biological father to continue in this role. After the trial on August 19, the California court rejected her application, letting Mr. Jamie continue. Britney Spears asked the judge to invite the Bessemer Trust company to co-manage her assets. The singer did not want Mr. Jamie Spears to be the only one holding this right. If approved, the organization will retain additional control over both her health and career decisions. The next trial on custody of Britney Spears is scheduled to take place on October 11.
Recently, many rumors that Mr. Jamie controlled her daughter Britney Spears for many years, forcing her to perform for money. On the Internet, a movement to demand the freedom of Britney was launched by fans, attracting hundreds of thousands of responses. Mr. Jamie denied the rumors, saying that fans were working on conspiracy theories.
